Homzi is a household management app that helps you track staff attendance, manage salaries, log vendor dealings, and keep your household records in one place. Because the app handles personal and financial data (including information about people in your household), we want to be clear about what we collect, why, and how it is protected.
We collect the following categories of information:
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We also store the authentication tokens needed to keep you signed in securely.
You create one or more households within the app. We store the household name and the list of members you invite to share access.
For each staff member you add, we store the details you enter: name, role, contact number, joining date, salary amount, advance payments, and daily attendance records.
Vendor names, contact details, and the purchase or payment records you log against them.
Notes, delivery records, and any amounts you track day to day.
Basic diagnostic information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports. This data does not identify you personally.
Homzi uses Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication. We do not store your Google or Apple password. Signing in via these providers is governed by their respective privacy policies in addition to this one. We only request the minimum scopes needed to identify you and create your account.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
When you add staff members or vendors to Homzi, you are entering personal information about other people: their names, contact numbers, salary details, and attendance. You are responsible for ensuring you have an appropriate basis to store this information and that those individuals are aware their data is being recorded. We process this data solely on your instructions to provide the Homzi service.
If you invite other users to your household, they can view and edit the records within it. Household members can see staff records, attendance, salary details, vendor logs, and daily entries. Only invite people you trust with this information. You can remove household members at any time from the app settings.
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your information. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only. No system is completely immune to risk, so we also recommend using a strong password for your Google or Apple account.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting and analytics) who process it on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations. We will disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
We retain your account and household data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons. Individual records (such as a staff member you remove) are deleted promptly from our active systems.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
To delete your Homzi (Homzi Now) account and all associated data, email [email protected] from your registered email/phone with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify and process the request within 30 days.
Data that is deleted: your account, profile, household, expenses, contacts, and all backed-up/synced data on our servers.
Data that is kept: records we are legally required to retain (e.g., transaction/tax records). Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
Homzi is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or email before the changes take effect. Continued use of Homzi after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
